Cannonsburgh Village is an historical site with buildings and recreations from the early 1800’s through the early 1900’s. Lot’s of interesting stuff and quite photogenic. There is a wedding chapel, working blacksmith shop, one room schoolhouse, grist mill, railroad car, and collection of antique tractors.
The variety of scenes, colors, and textures make Cannonsburgh a photo op gold mine for senior portraits and family photos as well as weddings. Do note that the area is closed during the winter and opens May – November. The space can be rented all throughout the year. And speaking of event rentals, you may want to call ahead of your photo shoot. Sometimes the whole area is closed for a private event and at other times photography is limited to certain areas.
Here are some examples of pix in various spots around the village.
As you can see, there are just lots and lots of special spots to take photos – old wood, rusted iron, stained glass, tractors, trains, and that’s not all. Just outside the village is the Cannonsburgh Trailhead for the Murfreesboro Greenway.
