Rock walls can be a great background. A rugged rock wall contrasts nicely with a child or young lady. Or adds some grit to a young man’s photo. One great rock wall in Manchester is at Old Stone Fort. The photo below is on the western side of the museum. notice it is possible to get an angle with no electrical outlets, lights, or doors.
This second photo is also on the western side of the museum. Here, the angle shows the rocks close to Samantha to be in sharp focus but the back wall is soft focus.
The same is true for Alexus photographed at the University of the South. Here, the model and tree are in sharp focus with the stone walls shown softly in the background. Again, notice the angle was carefully chosen to avoid clutter, downspouts, and doors.
The last photo shows Noah at the University of the South in a casual pose. Notice the great wardrobe choice here and in all these shots.
Look for rock walls at churches, universities, and some large government buildings. Historical sites are also a good place to find rock walls. Point Park and other battlefield areas around Chattanooga have great rock walls.
Where is your favorite rock wall?
