Point Park

Point Park Battlefield is a part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and the site of an important battle during the Civil War. In addition to the historic import, it is a beautiful park with stonework, manicured lawns, monuments, trees, and a magnificent view of the city of Chattanooga in the valley below.

Important Tips:

  • Free public parking lot is almost hidden and to the left when rounding the curve in front of the park.
  • National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes enter free.
  • Active duty military enter free.
  • Children 15 and under enter free. Adults are $7.00.
  • Adults 62+ can purchase ($80) a lifetime National Park Service Senior Pass good for over 2000 recreational sites managed by the National Park Service and 5 other federal agencies. Four (4) adults can enter per pass.
  • Just down the street from the Lookout Mountain Inclined Railway
  • Connected by trail (and road) to Sunset Point
  • Close to other Lookout Mountain attractions
  • Close to Covenant College
  • Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway is a great drive.
